I use quite a few custom visualizations from the gallery - https://app.powerbi.com/visuals/. Often times these visualizations get updated and I wouldn't even know what got changed. On the website, clicking on any of the visualizations would show only one screenshot. Why not show multiple screenshots and also list the changes with each version?

Make sure both the version number AND the most recent release date are included on AppSource.

RSS Feed would be fantastic, the store.office.com is a nightmare. Forum Section per Custom Visual would be fantastic as well. Should help very much to concentrate the feedback loop. That one as well with an RSS feed so one can stay up to date.
Today I wanted to make links from our intranet to a selection of custom visuals so users can see what we are offering in our App-V package. However it seems not possible to link to a custom visual page in store.office.com
July Release has a link to the store built in however since cloud services are no go for our company it is not much use for our scenario. Especially for the Power BI Desktop in combination with the on premise Power BI report server there must be a better solution.
Happy to help with testing this scenario.

Moving it to store.office.com made it just worse. Now it is already a challenge to see what is available, not mentioning to see what was recently updated and what was the update. Please give us an RSS feed or an API from where we can fetch the relevant information to keep this maintainable.

Also, could we get an the update date on the website without having to click on each individual custom visual to see when it was last updated?

I agree. Once i download a custom visual, i generally then try and find the authors blog and follow their comments on any changes they are planning to make, and ask them questions directly. This is a very messy way to do it. We should be able to get 'alerts's that there are new versions available, and submit queries to them via the Custom Visuals page. I've struggled to use some of the visuals and haven't been able to find any documentation / videos online explaining them.

This should be long-hanging fruit.
The absence of this feature makes the site feel half-hearted and semi-abandoned.

Hi there. We're working on a couple things to improve this experience. We're evaluating providing samples and an RSS feed as well as a forum discussion for each visual to help with the issues you've described. Would those hit the mark for you if we delivered that? Would love to hear your thoughts on that type of approach.
Cheers,
Jono

Using some of the visuals is quite complex, yet they are basically undocumented besides a paragraph on the Custom Visuals page. Advanced Viz is the key area of weakness for PBI vs other mature solutions eg Tableau. Please put more effort into documenting, supporting and improving Custom Visuals.
