    Custom Tooltips on Hover

    Custom "tooltips" when hovering over a point on a visual. Month after month, I am required to offer Analysis & Actions narrative for how we're performing. It would be nice to see this by hovering over a point on a visual rather than take up valuable real estate with a text box.

    We added report page tooltips back in March to support this. You can learn more my blog post here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-2018-feature-summary/ It's currently in preview, but we have plans to add support for table and matrix, and shortly after make the feature generally available. At that point, I'll close this idea.

    The implemented solution works for graphs but not tables. We are still without a solution for tables. I am having to provide manual help for users practically every day where a tooltip would 'just do it'. Please implement across all visuals.

    The solution needs to field specific if the user desires it to be.
    In other words, I do not want a tooltip to appear across every field of my report, but only in certain columns.

    I add on to this. Having custom tooltips on matrix and table visuals would be extremely helpful. The current default tooltip shows the exact same data the table/matrix contains, not very helpful.

    Hi, it would be great if you could add a mouseover or hover text over the card visual to explain what the amount meant

    A bit disapointed in the update as you cant assign a matrix or table as a tool tip. It would be great to view multiple rows of commentary when hovering over a chart.

    tooltip is disappearing too fast, faster than I can read. how to leave it longer?
