It would be create to download the content pack's dataset as a .pbix file that could be edited/amended in PowerBI Desktop. The content packs are for out of the box uses. Any customizations at the end user side don't make it into content packs but would be helpful to visualize. For example, if in Dynamics CRM Online if I create a new field for weighted Sales, that field is not in the content pack.

However, the Microsoft team has done a lot of leg work getting that content pack mapped. It would be great to take that and personalize it for our organization.

RE: .pbix files for online content packs

I am also looking for the Project Online Content Package to be released for download to use from Power BI Desktop, so that I can pull customized fields in the reports. However, it seems that the Project Online Content Package is not available for download as a .pbix file.

Any help on this? Many thanks
Chris

RE: .pbix files for online content packs

The Project Online content pack has a recent update -- AFTER the update to allow for downloadable online content, but ALAS, the version of the online data didn't change to enable the download feature.

I'm trying to do some reporting with Project Online adding reporting and filtering of our business-specific data, but I'm having to build this from scratch due to the fact that the Project Online content reports are not downloadable.

Please help -- quick!

Keep up the good work.
