It's hard to convince colleagues to use Power BI in case they using linux. With a Linux version (ubuntu?) of the Power BI Desktop they would not need to install a VM or similar.

RE: Power BI Desktop linux version
I got a reasonably good pc running on Ubuntu 19.10. Tried PBI Desktop on Virtual Box, but it didn't install properly + there is a bit of lagging...
They must have a version for Linux - please!
RE: Power BI Desktop linux version
please fix this, is the future and you have to put this program in linux
RE: Power BI Desktop linux version
It makes commercial sense to support all OS as more people create pbix files. Next steps is an automatic progression to PowerBI server deployment which earns monthly sticky income.
RE: Power BI Desktop linux version
Add PowerBI for linux (Ubuntu)
RE: Power BI Desktop linux version
Hahahaha if this came out, it would make me give up on windows all together. Only reason I use windows is Power BI. But given that most servers are running Linux, how is Power BI not on Linux yet. Maybe I might start switching my workflow more towards Tableau for this reason alone. Windows has become a nightmare with their automated update mess.
