I can't believe i can't manually control the order that a list of dimension members appear on the axes. Yeah i know i can click on the corner and select a-z or order them by the numeric value but if you have textual dimension members that should be ordered in a specific way you have no ability to order them that way...Tableau makes this so much easier

You simply have to add another field with the order value and then choose the "Sort by Column" option in the modelling tab, to assign the new order field to the text field. This is standard practice with for example sorting Month names Jan, Feb etc.
