It would be great to export or access specific tile or specific visual data from JavaScript API or REST api. This helps us for automating our data validation.

Also needed to help extract subset records that then require an application to perform operations on.

Yes, we also need that functionality to export Report underlying data from Power BI service to shared folder on monthly basis, from where Planning team pick up the file for further planning.

I fully agree! Quite often, my boss asks me if it is possible to save 'current state' from the report visual/visuals....So we can use it for different comparison. My idea was to make a button, that will trigger 'Azure function'. Function will export required data, and place it into Azure SQL for example...

This is indeed an important feature and will help in testing of data behind the visuals.

I second this - at least an api to pull as csv. Would like to use Power BI exclusively, but without this feature I need to look at alternatives.

I also need that functionality. This is the only feature missing, we can't move our BI environment to MS platform because of that. I have a number of scheduled reports that are automatically extracted to XLSX or CSV file and then send to clients as an attached file. Please implement that feature if you want to earn more money Microsoft!!!
