As a BI consultant for small to medium enterprises I am running into webservice sources more and more.
The current web connector in Power BI does not provide for many features to help you in extracting data from webservices.
Many times we need to use pagination or repeat requests to the service with variable parameters. There is no support for this without scripting.
In the Netherlands I run into SOAP webservices a lot still. I am a dedicated Power BI consultant but my Qlik colleagues certainly have an edge with webservice extraction.
We need to change that! Please give us more webservice Power!
As a Power BI consultant I want to be able to easily connect to webservices using standards like SOAP and REST without scripting so I can spend my time for the customer on data analysis and visualization instead of just creating the connection with my source.

RE: Fully featured webservice connector for SOAP and REST
This would be a great feature. To buy a product like ZappySys seems like just another headache. This should be included with Power BI in my opinion.
RE: Fully featured webservice connector for SOAP and REST
Whilst no one likes using SOAP, the simple fact is that many data sources still only provide SOAP APIs, so this is much needed
RE: Fully featured webservice connector for SOAP and REST
The Dutch governements use a lot of soap in there service communications.
So, yes I think good support for soap services is very much needed.

ZappySys has released Drivers for REST API (JSON / XML / SOAP). Using these drivers you can connect to virtually any API service in Power BI. It comes with many advanced options such as OAuth, Pagination, Error Handling , Query Editor and many more. See below links.
