Have first class support for the hierarchyID data type in PBI Visualisations.
See Adventureworks2014.HumanResources.Employee.Organization Node for example of data type (even though some might have access to this database!)
I have manufacturing BoMs many lines deep and up to 46 hierarchy levels which I want to display easily and enable financial and engineers understand the relation between items in the list without having to write code. Using GetLevel () and Replicate I can easily add tabs to each line which then steps across columns in Excel - but why no support for this efficient data type natively. If the resultant Visualisations can support GetDescendant () and GetAncestor () in a filter that would be tickity boo.

Please fix as soon as possible.

Could a PBI Product Manager make a comment about this and recommend a location in MS to push this idea? Not supporting a standard MS SQL data type would appear to be missing a trick.

Anything on this yet? I re-read my original - its not clear I was asking for support of the SQL Server hierarchy data type.
