It would be great if we could publish a dataflow from desktop. Currenly the desktop version of query editor is still superior to the online version that dataflows uses.
At the moment I create my queries in desktop then just copy the query code using advanced editor into a blank query on dataflows.

Please do this, not only is the web query creator slow, it is also prone to errors when saving. I actually opened a case about the errors (120010921001310). Specifically this was regarding trying to combine CSV files from a Sharepoint Folder.
The Web UI errored out and would not let me create the query at the "Combine Files" stage, however I could and did, manually create each query in Desktop and then copy/paste through Advanced Editor.
I routinely have to "save twice" when working in my Dataflow entity. The first time errors out, returning back to the editor, where after making no changes, I'm able to save successfully.
