Search a keyword in a slicer, then have the option to "add current selection to filter".
I love this feature in excel and it lets me quickly omit all records that contain a keyword.

This seems like a pretty basic feature, especially if you have lengthy slicer lists. Like the original poster said, it is something that has been in excel for awhile
