    In Excel, you have the option of deciding what a Data Label shows, such as the series, category, or value. In Power BI Line Chart it only allows you to display the value. Please add in more granular options to allow Series/Category to display instead.

    Please add as category labels make a chart look cleaner and it's also easier for used to determine which line belongs to which category

    Excel can do it, Tableau can do it, R can do it, but PowerBI can't add add direct labeling to line charts...

    I agree, tooltips are great, but not applicable for all features

    Category labels on line chart is very useful functionality. I vote for this
