Support for hadoop distros other than Microsoft's own

I see a lot of features in Power BI for connecting to Microsoft's own hadoop service (I won't spell it out here because I don't want it to turn up in search results but an acronym for it might be HDI) but I'd like to see support for other distros too. For example, I have an on-premises Cloudera cluster, I'd like to be able to connect to both Hive, Impala and Spark running on that to extract data from it.

How about Hortonworks cluster too? Considering its the foundation for Microsoft's own HDI there should be a Direct Query connector soon.

We have an immediate need to connect to Spark Onpremises for a big customer and need DirectQuery support vs. import as the current connector offers in PowerBI Desktop
