Line/combo chart with markers only (no visible line)

The new markers and line style's are great, though there's one thing missing that I think could be almost trivial to implement given the work already done:

With marker available you should be able to make the connecting lines disappear.

That could be done be several roads like:
Line Width = 0 or
Line Transparency = 100% or
Line Style = none.

Which given the whole thing is built on D3 I think would be super easy (though I could certainly be wrong).

For most charts, the markers act as excellent reference points, but the connecting lines mostly get in the way or add confusion when the axis is categorical. If I could just get the markers it'd be like having the awesome power of bullet/strip charts but using a built in visual.
