Hi All,

Can we have a date format like MMM YYYY . I need to have month in the shorten format. If the month is in MMMM format is looks cluttered on mobile version of the dashboard.

RE: Date Formats in Power BI

Use Case:
Date field is a fiscal period. It may either be MM/01/yyyy or the end of the month. In this case the day is completely irrelevant. What is important from that date is MM & yy. There is only one option for formatting a date with only month & year, "MMMM yy," and it is suboptimal. That format is problematic because when shown in visualizations it is can either be truncated, as in charts, or gives varying column widths in tables.
The better options for this type of date are MMM yy, MM/yy, MM-yyyy, etc. As there are many, the preferred delivery method would be to allow the user to set their own format. If this is not feasible, please provide a format that yields a consistent text length.

RE: Date Formats in Power BI

Anyone figure out a workaround here? Can't believe this format isn't supported.
