If you pin the whole page with slicers to the dashboard you can use these slicers at the dashboard in Power BI web version without opening the report.
However, this functionality (using slicers directly at the dashboard) doesn't work on mobile devices without opening the report.
Please add the functionality of using slicers at the dashboard also for mobile devices.

RE: Slicers in Dashboard on Mobile App

When will Microsoft have a resolution to this feature? It is vital in today’s fast paced, on the go business culture. Directors and Executives lose the ability to have insight and overview of the reporting topic of our dashboards. Please advise.

RE: Slicers in Dashboard on Mobile App

How has this not been fixed yet?
Completely negates the value of mobile dashboard if it cannot work with slicers.

RE: Slicers in Dashboard on Mobile App

I agree on the importance to set scope of data displayed in both cloud and mobile dashboards.
On mobile dashboard, pressing the chiclet slicer just maximizes the tile in the dashboard -> when pressing the filterbox for instance product category; then going to report -> the slicer is reset not showing your selected filter choice in the opened report.

So yeah the problem seems several points:
* Restrict the zoom tile function when tapping on cellphone screen (maybe this can be done already). There's is absolutely no idea to zoom a filter KPI or Gauge so this should be an option already!
* Pass the selected filter choice both to in dashboard pinned items from the SAME report (either Microsofts filter or chiclet, chiclet makes more sense for small fingers!)
* Pass the filter choices from the dashboard on to the affected Report. (Graphs and filter origin from same report then pinned to dashboard)
* Globally pass filter choice to multiple dashboards and reports within the same workspace as long as dataset are the same.

Found an interest solution when messing about! In Power BI cloud, press the dots in top right corner - > settings -> Enable dashboard flow. Your report now looks as a dashboard in your cellphone = Responsive design, somehow all tiles stack the same layout as I had chosen for mobileview? But at report level i got what I was after=responsive tile layout and being able to click the slicers, NEAT!

Really same issue as thread: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/6674820-global-filter-in-dashboards#{toggle_previous_statuses}

RE: Slicers in Dashboard on Mobile App

This is vital for production level and daily operation, without it, PowerBI is beautiful but pretty much useless..
