    Inheriting the NotePad++ or SSMS text highlighting would be a simple and welcome addition. A reach but still necessary aspect of this would be to have intellisense on both the R and SQL code (with a format button as well).

    Yes, IntelliSense in custom SQL would be a standout feature.
