I have a Power BI Services model (Power BI model created with Power BI desktop) and created a Excel pivot table using "Analyze in Excel". I would like to view and work with this Pivot table in Power BI Services.

It would be great to be able to use Pivot table in an Excel file hosted in Power BI (and/or Excel Online). The pivot reads data from the Power BI model.

As much as we like Power BI, many of our users are still more at home working with BI in Excel. It seems strange to them (and to me), that we can publish an app with a Power BI report and Excel Workbook both sourced from the same dataset, and that the Power BI report will refresh and the Excel workbook will not.

So helpful please MS why does this not work? PowerBI is not the only tool we need, we need excel for paginated reports.
