    Add the ability to edit the raw code for step without launching the advanced editor

    For many steps there is a configuration option that enables you to edit a step. However once setup it can be cumbersome to go into that editor each time. Additionally for some steps there is no editor, so one can't easily change whats been put in place. It would be nice to edit the line from the query that represents the step, without having to go into the advanced editor which takes far too many clicks

    Yes, once you check the "Formula Bar" checkbox in the View tab, the formula bar should allow you to edit the M script for each step.

    I think you can already do this: from the View ribbon, check Formula Bar.
