Large models are with hundreds (and more...) of fields, calculated fields and measures. Although you can quick find any one of them, it's not that simple to determine if some of them are simply unnecessary (because they are not in use all around the model) and what are the most crucial elements you must carefully handle when developing and upgrading the model.
It would be an awesome upgrade if Power Bi Desktop would have a fourth area (after "Relationships") of build in metadata analysis that visually emphasise what are the most "used" tables/fields/calculated fields/measures in that model and the impacted elements (calculated and visuals) when planning to change one of the fields/calculated.

I see this as a major benefit. As we look at larger and larger data sets, visibility of the metadata, and allowing that to drive the initial visualization (and user driven analysis) could lead to much better initial performance. We are see an issue where users connect to millions of rows, and then start subselecting.
