Similar to in Excel, please enable a feature to hide values With no data in a slicer.
E.g. I have a Dimension with a list of locations that change over time. I want my slicer to ONLY contain the locations that have data in 2017 (if I add a report level filter to filter for 2017). Currently, the slicer will list all the locations in the dimension.

RE: Slicer - hide items with no data
Really big issue
RE: Slicer - hide items with no data
I agree. I'm hunting for a solution to this. The slicers work well with each other ... they reduce and expand based on selection within slicers. However, when i click or select an item in the table, the slicer does not shrink relative to that item I've clicked in the table. That function is the rough = of the excel slicer function to hide items with no data in it. Its important as the slicer is a visual as well & so if i'm displaying sales data with region as a slicer and sales people and values as a table and I click on a particular sales person in the table, I would expect my slicer to also shrink to reflect the region data relevant to that person only instead of staying unchanged. For some reason, I remember that this used to work previously ... I could be wrong. Or is there a particular setting I'm missing to enable this.

RE: Slicer - hide items with no data
I support the request. This functionality is very necessary for those of us who migrate our Excel reports to Power BI
RE: Slicer - hide items with no data
I agree, this needs to be implemented like excel as users moving from Excel to Power BI reports, based on my own experiences are expecting only valid options based on filtered criteria.
