Amazed/Appalled that this is explicitly not supported.
The company I work for are a full Office 365 E5 subscriber and use all the Microsoft tools.
It seems that Power BI does not allow images stored on Sharepoint and Onedrive (unless they are shared anonymously which the business doesn't allow for security reasons)
At this link under images:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-add-a-widget-to-a-dashboard/#add-an-image
It says, "Say you want your company logo on your dashboard, or some other image. You'll need to save the image file online and link to it. Make sure special credentials aren't required to access the image file. For example, OneDrive and SharePoint require authentication, so images stored there can't be added to a dashboard this way."
Worse, it is not fully "not supported" as it works perfectly fine in everything except IE. If I use "get link" from sharepoint on an image, it shows correctly in all browsers except for IE10. This means we are unable to put any images on any of our dashboards which is a pretty embarrassing conversation with our senior managers/directors that Microsofts own service doesn't work with other Microsoft services.
Surely this can't be that hard to just make this work in IE and job is done?

RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
I'm surprised, it is still not fixed :(
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
I can't believe this is not possible, please add this.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
Really needed, please add this feature.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
Still having this issue in 2019. Hi Microsoft, please have this fixed.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
Really need this for our dashboards, all file hosting platforms are blocked so this would be the only solution for us.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
Since this is a SharePoint thing as much as it is a PowerBI thing, I have posted it as an issue on the SP UserVoice. Please vote for it, so the issue gets highlighted as important.

RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
With Microsoft making PowerBI such a cornerstone, this issue really needs to be addressed. By not allowing us to specify anonymous permissions at the folder level, or fixing this some other way, the functionality is limited.
I would like to extend a Power BI dashboard to Cortana, but will need to compromise what is delivered there because SP images cannot be displayed outside SharePoint.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
I agree, this needs to be fixed. The only way I can get the images to display is to embed the Power Bi in the SharePoint site, so the user opens it there instead.
RE: Allow Images stored on authenticated Sharepoint and Onedrive in Dashboards
This has to be fixed. We are unable to add images from Business OneDrive/SharePoint to Power Bi Dashboard.
From Personal OneDrive/public URLs, it is working fine
