I want to create a group on a field that has hundreds of potential options. When you go to the dialog box to define a group, there is no function to search and filter the set of existing records; you have to scroll through every single option. It would be great if we could have a search bar here!

agree 100%. searching through 100s or 1000s of records is not good.
need a search box similar to excel filters, or like tableau.

Is there any news on this topic? Can’t be that hard to build. Just a search and filter option on both the value and the groups field.
Now you cant even jump to the first valuea beginning with a "s" by pressing the 'S' key

I was about the add the same idea! If I need to group invoices that all start with the date name, such as Feb - Pizza Hut, it takes forever to find these and group. If I could just search by the vendor name (in this case Pizza Hut) I could quickly group.
