    Need a way to be able to invert the y-axis without fudging data to make it work.

    This is useful for plotting empirical cumulative distribution functions.

    This is very, very useful in subsurface applications like oil and gas, ice cores, and oceanography, where positive depth values are often deeper under the surface.
