To truly have users feel comfortable in replacing many Excel based experiences, Power View tables will need to be highly customizable. Provide parody in functionality of an Excel table or Pivot table. Options include: formatting, ranking, hierarchies, grouping, etc.

Allow advanced table customisation for when creating tables, such as colouring them like Excel tables, adding formatting conditions to cells, etc.

I agree. Power View has great templates, but visualization is not a 1 size fits all. The templates address the 80%, but we need customizable options for the last 20%

Great idea! This would greatly increase our ability to leverage Power BI in the space I work in, and will also ease the transition of our users to a Power BI experience.
