    Unless I’m missing something, this is now possible through the standard ‘SQL Server database’ connector. Just enter the AWS endpoint as the Server.

    and here i am 5 yrs later still just wishing they would sort this out!!! did come across Quicksight earlier today though. that's a maybe!

    It is shocking to see that this basic connectivity to AWS SQL RDS has not been established. We may need to ditch PBI as well because of this.
