Under Manage Parameter, when i use Suggested Values as Query, I would like to set the Current Value to the first item in the query result as the default value when i first open the report.
Example: if my query result is a list of dates, i would like to set the latest date as default

Totally agreed that this is needed very badly. Even it's called parameter, we still need to go to the Power Query to change the default value each month to extract correct data. It's not very convenient.

I need to set the current value for a database parameter dynamically so that the Power BI report embedded in our web app connects to a different database depending on the client selected.

This is needed so badly. This is a totally standard report setting that isn't solved with relative date filtering or bookmarks.

I want to add default current date as current value of Parameter under manage parameter in Power BI with help of query result. Can you please suggests as it is very important to me. I want my power BI to show EndDate as Current Date value automatically.
