The Matrix view needs a horizontal scroll bar just like the Table view. It appears at the bottom for large cross tabs but is not enabled and the data gets cut off, forcing me to switch to table view.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

Even when there is only a single, long row of data in the matrix, we have to scroll down vertically to see the horizontal scroll bar when the workbooks is published. This is not obvious to most people and a poor user experience. The horizontal scroll bar should always be visible when the matrix is too wide to fit on the screen. It's visible when designing in Desktop, but not once published to the server.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

I just ran into this limitation with a dataset that has many attributes that we need to display in a matrix. This is really frustrating, and we should at least have the option of controlling this behavior.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

Extremely frustrating that you cannot display your grouped data with a horizontal scroll bar. I am surprised that the matrix still is not capable of doing this. It isn't all about numeric data. I just want to display the row data in a grouped format. I would have thought the PBI team would have figured this one out by now. It has been an issue for me since I first used the matrix visual.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

I think this is a basic need. By default u should allow scroll bars or make it part of visual formatting so that developer can enable and disable for visuals. Please add this feature ASAP

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

This looks to be a bug/design flaw due to the freezing of panes. If there was a setting to turn off freeze panes this should allow scrolling if the user requires it when they have a large number of row headers. Currently with row headers too wide for the screen, the Values are pushed off the screen. Hence the horizontal scrolling of values if of no use. This is a design flaw in my opinion.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

In number of cases company has long list of rows (subcategories) and matrix report is not visible. There is no option to scroll. Partial alternative is using table if there is only on total row, but if you need several subtotals, matrix need to be used.
Please consider adding this option.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

Please add this. I feel like it's a very basic addition, but necessary for many visualizations to work.

RE: Add Matrix Horizontal Scroll Bar

'+1 - Not sure why MS would disable this feature in Matrix. We need this ASAP
