Parquet format support for direct import from Azure Blob

It would be nice to have support for all formats listed in ADF:

In th Supported file formats section.

But I'd especially like parquet format support

If Power BI connects parquet files directly without converting into txt from ADLS Gen1, Gen2, that would be a great solution for many enterprise organizations.

Particularly Parquet and Avro are appreciated.
Another valuable options would be HDF5.

Getting asked about parquet file format more and more these days. Any update on roadmap to get this added or any work arounds?

If Power BI support for parquet and ORC formats is added, the “no-cliffs” integration with Azure SQL DW and Data Factory is smoother.

Parquet file format is a very popular in data analysis.
