Please add Collapse/Expand buttons in the Matrix Visualizations. Otherwise when all fields are expanded by default the user would have to scroll a lot to find what they are looking for. I could add a slicer to take user to the data they are looking for but then the rest of the data in the matrix disappears and more specifically the overall totals change!Expand/Collapse buttons would keep the overall totals as intended and totals for other fields while allowing the user to only expand the field they are interested in. Also ability to do conditional formatting for a specific field in the matrix would be nice. Thanks!

With our November update of Power BI Desktop, you can now expand/collapse matrix row headers. As some of the work involved for column headers is different than row headers, we want to understand how many users specifically need/want column header support as well. Some tables are rather long, very nice feature- less scrolling! We would need exactly this in order to hide columns for specific years and leave only those necessary for comparison.

'While it may seem like a simple feature, to implement +/- in a way that will perform well and be scalable we'll need to enhance some deep architectural foundations in the Power BI visuals framework. The enhancements will allow a visual to send multiple different queries to the BI model and "stitch" them together to a single graphical representation. This will allow a visual to create "a-symmetrical" views with varying degrees of detail depth.
This architectural enhancement is a significant effort and we will start it this sprint with the intent of delivering this summer.
+/- on the matrix visual will be the first implementation of that capability and will hope to deliver it this summer.
Once the architectural enhancement is completed it will open the door to a whole new class of visuals, including the breakdown trees.

The Agility planning matrix is better than nothing, but the lack of formatting options for the different levels is frustrating. This is like Excel pivot 101 stuff.
