Desktop appears to have an issue with Count and Count Distinct applied to values (e.g. of an Area Chart) showing different results even though the source column has all unique values. This occurs when the source column is of generic alphanumeric type. Changing the type to number resolves the issue.

This behaviour does not occur on Server version of report.

This appears to happen with large numbers only. When previewing the data you see E-notation which is an approximation. It seems that when the type is alphanumeric the literal E-notation value is used to compare for distinct rather than the original value.
