Ability to set the transparency on the dots/circles of a scatter plot. If you have many dots on top of each other, then setting the transparency to a low value like 10% allows you to see the density where the dots are piling up. This is common is other visualization tools such as ggplot in R or even in Excel.

RE: scatter transparency

'Rather embarrassing this easily added transparency is not included. Since 2016! Data is obscured (turning off Fill Points helps but is not enough) so the presentation is laughable compared to other BI/Charting tools. Conditional Formatting has been removed from it too

The legend click silhouetting is ahead of the other tools, but this cripples that goodness. Please get this sorted (jitter ideal too) so we can present proper scatter / point charts.

RE: scatter transparency

This would be so use full to solve overlay issues. Same applies to a standard jitter setting.

RE: scatter transparency

As a workaround you can use conditional formatting apply a gradient. I found this by accident after finding this answer. Under Visualizations > Format, expand Data colors click the hamburger menu next to color and choose Conditional Formatting.

Yes... I would like to add my voice to this request...
I posted in the forum's and I just don't think it is possible (see here for further details: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Increase-the-fade-of-the-when-Highlighting-via-Filter/m-p/647095#M310221 )

RE: scatter transparency

More specifically, when clicking legend items, the transparency of the unselected items is insufficient - it's very hard to tell what was selected in a large set. This should be configurable (seems to default to around 40% transparent, I would want closer to 80 or 90).

RE: scatter transparency

Agreed, extremely important! Cannot believe this does not already exist.
