Please add Collapse/Expand buttons in the Matrix Visualizations. Otherwise when all fields are expanded by default the user would have to scroll a lot to find what they are looking for. I could add a slicer to take user to the data they are looking for but then the rest of the data in the matrix disappears and more specifically the overall totals change!Expand/Collapse buttons would keep the overall totals as intended and totals for other fields while allowing the user to only expand the field they are interested in. Also ability to do conditional formatting for a specific field in the matrix would be nice. Thanks!

With our November update of Power BI Desktop, you can now expand/collapse matrix row headers. You can read more on our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-2018-feature-summary/#expandCollapse A few people were asking about column headers. As some of the work involved for column headers is different than row headers, we want to understand how many users specifically need/want column header support as well. If you need column header support, please vote on this idea that I added to UserVoice: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200/suggestions/36038050

RE: Matrix +/- Collapse/ Expand Buttons

Now that we can now expand and collapse like pivot tables, can we control at what levels sub-totaling is calculated

It doesn't work as expected in IE. However in Chrome it works and look great. Please suggest being Microsoft tool it should work in IE first? :(

RE: Matrix +/- Collapse/ Expand Buttons

I experienced the same issue where once I published a report using a matrix visual with the +/- icons looking terrible. Turns out I only experienced this when I was using Internet Explorer. In Edge & Chrome it looked great and worked as expected.

RE: Matrix +/- Collapse/ Expand Buttons

Why is this not available for multidimensional models?? Unbelievable.

The excitement of seeing this feature released was then followed by great disappointment finding out it is not supported for multidimensional models. Gutted!

'+1
here is a bug in expand collapse matrix when using conditional formatting. When i expand the field, the conditional formatting not applied in header field, but only applied in child field.

Has anybody published a report using this visual with the +/- on? Looks like garbage - unusable. Can't see the plus symbols
