Allow me to utilize SSRS PowerView just like I can with Excel PowerView and pin reports to the dashboard, however with SSRS, I would like to connect to on-prem data sources

Hi Doug, thanks for the suggestion. We have another suggestion for connections to on-prem data sources. Can you elaborate on the SSRS Power View requirement? Do you need to upload existing rdlx reports?

This would be great. We have a lot of power view reports in on-prem sharepoint 2013. There needs to be a way to migrate these to Power BI without reauthoring them all from scratch. I can't open rdlx files in Power BI Desktop nor upload them via the 'Get Data' functionality online.

The omission of Filters on a Dashboard is very limiting and certainly hinders our take up of this application. We are relatively new to PowerBI, and so far have built filters into the reports especially when using Analysis Services as a source. It allows a single set of tiles to be developed which can be reused. The use of Filters means that we can base an entire report off several different aspects of the business.
Often the tiles are grouped into a single report because they are supportive information needed as a collective. e.g. across a specific timeframe.
Our managers also favour the use of Dashboards via mobile devices, but the lack of filter means that we have no way to re-target the filter for a report into a Dashboard.
Although it is possible to drill into each tile and fire a single filter we have also noticed that the report filters do not always map upwards to the Dashboard as expected.
It would be nice to be able to define a report entirely into a Dashboard including report filters

Another MUST have feature! Good to know it is planned but would be great to know more details when this is going to be available. "feedback in a couple of months" is too vague and does not allow us to do any planning.

Really needed, would make life much easier. For starts it should allow filter multiple reports from the same source but then in the future if you have sales report and operative report with same organization hierarchies you should be able to filters those..
RE: PowerView rdlx connecting to on-prem data source
This is needed. I don't understand why it would be excluded when everything else can be pinned to the dashboard.
I'm new to Power BI, is there a way to specify a filter like:
where PROJECT Contains "name"
RE: PowerView rdlx connecting to on-prem data source
'Better to put filters in dashboard level also, because dashboard is a initial page they need to see the filter data in dashboard it self with out going to individual reports
+1 from me!

This, and the fact that there needs to be a way to select the text from the table. I dont want to filter on the annoying tiny filter box to the bottom right of the screen. Also, I dont want to export it to excel each time i want to copy something from the table. Please do something about this. It is by far one of the most convinient visualization tools wrt data modelling and presentation. But many features are missing. Looking forward for timely updates.

This is a show stopper for us too. We can not roll out our dashboard as anticipated without having the ability of the casual user to set a one-time filter that applies to all pages in a dashboard/report.

That will be soooooo good Lorey, please do it :)

You have got to be kidding me. I have been rapid prototyping example dashboards for my organisation. Without this ability I will not be able to recommend PowerBI. Everytime Microsoft! Something looks amazingly positive, and then you go and leave out a vital, game changing (basic) feature. (Same with OneDrive, and OneNote).
