Allow me to utilize SSRS PowerView just like I can with Excel PowerView and pin reports to the dashboard, however with SSRS, I would like to connect to on-prem data sources

Hi Doug, thanks for the suggestion. We have another suggestion for connections to on-prem data sources. Can you elaborate on the SSRS Power View requirement? Do you need to upload existing rdlx reports?

RE: PowerView rdlx connecting to on-prem data source
This would be very useful for us, we want to be able to show an end user "their view" of our organisation (i.e. a specific department or group of departments) without them having to apply and re-apply filters across every single dashboard and report.
Obviously we could do this via security but we want to allow users to drill up to a higher level if they want to still.

Hi there, our company has been waiting for this feature for ages and it is very essential. How will you share accounting dashboard with Management without letting them filter which specific information they would want to see. Thanks

Any progress on global/dashboard slicers? Must have.

any update????

Seems like a basic capability which Tableau already provides on their dashboards. In addition they provide the ability to choose the form the filter takes - e.g. check box list, drop down list, sliders etc.

It's been a couple of months.... anxiously awaiting this capability!
RE: PowerView rdlx connecting to on-prem data source
Dear PBI Team, I know that you have allowed us to pin an entire report page to a dashboard, but this is not the same as pinning a slicer to a dashboard. I understand that there are technical issues with this (how does the slicer match up to the tile, etc.), but please understand that this is a shortcoming. I guess I don't understand the point of having a dashboard if I need to pin entire report pages to it, for it to function the way I want. I'll just stick to the report. So, if I am just going to disregard dashboards because they don't serve me, at least allow us to create links from a visual to another page in reports.

Would like to know when to expect this.
