I would be Nice to have option for setting dotted or solid lines for each rowset in a linechart. typically used for illustrating Budget/forecasts (dotted) and actuals (solid)

The same line choices that we have in Excel would be a great start - no line and change the marker type - very usefull for when presenting a budget/actual line chart.

This is a necessary feature. In order for me to show my clients what the previous year average was (dotted) in comparison to the current year (solid) I need this feature. Please roll it out asap!

Without this feature, we will be forced to use a different product to meet our business reporting requirements. In addition to being able to have dotted lines, we also need to be able to have the same line begin as solid and then transition to dotted based on future dates to show actual/projected values.

I agree with this. The ability to show symbols (i.e.: dot) instead of a line, like you can in Excel, would be very beneficial as well.

Yes. Solid lines for data series with 2 year date range and dashed for those with a1 year range.

'having more control over data labels within line charts would also be very helpful.
- being able to have different text colors for each line. when all data labels are the same color, and lines are close together it's hard to tell which label relates to which lines.
- also more control over positioning. right now it looks random, which labels above, below and on the same line.
