To setup SQL Server (Azure SQL Managed Instance) datasources in Power BI gateway, we have two authentication methods: Windows, Basic. There is no option for Organizational Accounts/Active Directory/Microsoft Account.

Please introduce this, as we are trying to limit SQL user access, and rather rely on Active Directory

'its is very much not recomended "best practice" to use hard coded username/password combinations. I am disappointed that our options are :
- don't use powerbi server,
- don't use azure sql server, or
- accept poorly audited connections from whoever happens to get the username/password pair.

I recommend this option to be a part of Power BI
