Thanks for your feedback - at this time, we're not planning to add this capability to Power BI Report Server. We understand this will be disappointing to many of you who've voted and provided feedback, and this wasn't a decision made lightly. And of course, you'll continue to see investments in these capabilities in the Power BI service going forward.

This is a terrible decision! reconsider this now I will shutdown our power BI activiti
Competing products that offer this service and have done so for a long time.
There is no need to use Power BI if microsoft does not want to be a part of the best BI tools

We are healthcare providers and usage of ESRI map will help us greatly in making the right policy/decisions and priorities.

We are an emergency service organization and this would be a highly desirable feature and probably one of the reasons which may force the use of Tableau if this is not to be implemented as an on-premise environment. Not a good decision.

The ability to create R and ESRI visuals in the desktop tool but not publish those visuals to Report Server is extremely dissapointing for anyone who (obviously wants to, but) cannot push data into the cloud.

This is a terrible decision! Please reconsider this, since we don't have the option to become "cloud-oriented"!

I don't get it. Microsoft yields to on-prem customer pressure and develops Power BI Report Server, and then immediately culls the addition of critical features to it.
With dashboards, R visuals and ArcGIS all confirmed as never to be added, Power BI Report Server is dead.
With many engine features now not requiring an Enterprise licence I can see a lot of customers scaling back to Standard.
How any of this makes sense for Microsoft's shareholders is beyond me.

- Would it be possible to provide any further information as to why it is not planned or if an alternative is being considered? Issue between ESRI and Microsoft?
