Turning on "Edit interactions" when there is an overlap of visuals or visuals butt up against one another makes it impossible to click on the interaction buttons, unless you resize the visual, change the interaction, and then resize the visual.

Instead of placing the interaction buttons outside the visual where it interferes with the buttons of other visuals, make the buttons float on top of the visual in a shaded overlay. This would completely eliminate this issue when items overlap or butt up against one another, and make it easier to know which interaction button goes with which visual.

FYI I have worked around this issue by carefully sequencing the order of visuals in the Selection Pane, so that the visual which would otherwise interfere with clicking the interaction button is always 'below' the one you are trying to modify. Not fun, but worth it if you have dozens of visuals to synchronize.
