When changing from direct query mode (on sql server 2012 db, pbi version may 2017) to import mode existing relations are dropped, including manually created relations, and are recreated based on settings, so relations between non-matching fieldnames are lost in this scenario. Please keep relations in the data model, or at least warn they will be recreated. Thanks.
