Would be great if we had a notes area of the Dashboard for people to leave comments or questions about the content on the Dashboard. Same would be true for the PowerView Reports, except have them rollup in the Dashboard area.

Thanks everyone for your support and votes! We're working on enabling commenting for dashboards and reports in the Power BI service soon. Stay tuned.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

Too Late. invested in a customized application. But still is a good idea and essential for report sharing and collaboration. Does anyone know the ETA?

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

We are about to try and implement another solution (like http://prologika.com/power-bi-writeback/), before we invest resources into this is there any ETA for this feature or what it will/wont include?

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

For now I'm steering people to publish into Office 365 Groups (not just app workspaces) and take advantage of all that goodness (e.g. group OneNote, Conversations, Planner etc). Most people seem totally unaware of those Office 365 online apps.

Personally I prefer this approach e.g. OneNote Online is a "best of breed" collaborative note-taking app, and you can save links in it that take you directly to a PBI dashboard or report page.

I'd rather the PBI devs didn't burn time re-inventing the "note-taking app" wheel - there is plenty of other things they could be fixing/improving.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

It would be very helpful to be able to mention someone in a comment to send an email and/or Teams chat notification with a link back to the specific report visual/bookmark.

Please also try and unify this user experience with Excel and across O365.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

I think the feedback mechanism could be the same as how you are collecting ideas for improvement here. People can submit ideas and others can comment or vote on them. This is key in our organization.
I think the feedback would need to be separable for feedback for improvements, vs. questions on the substance of the existing dashboards or reports themselves. Both are important.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

I think a useful design would be to have a comment box for people to comment on or allow annotations as it is possible on PBI IOS app.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

When there are reports/ visualizations viewed by different people, they would have more insight when they can share interpretations and observations/ questions by writing immediately as they view the report and others can see when they open the report. It can be a collaborative communication. This feature is available in some other packages especially SAP Lumira.
