Currently you can't save excel files directly to PBI Report Server. Similar to how you can save PBI or Paginated Reports.
Many users have reports in Excel workbooks and need to be able to Open, Modify and save back.
Currently the only way to do this is to download the file, store it locally, make modifications, save it locally, go into PBIRS and upload to a specific location via portal. You should just be able to save from within the Excel desktop client.
