During power bi analysis services connector configuration using power bi account we get effective username error, it’s because we host our database servers in a cloud company which has a different domain then our company domain of course, causing the authentication to fail, cloud company did account delegation so we can logon using our company domain to the server but PBI analysis services connector is failing.
Could we have a mechanism just before authentication page to map the power bi account to a domain account of our choice?
Of course we cannot force Cloud Company hosting our database servers to use SyncDir to sink their AD with Azure one and also don’t want power bi to double hop while getting data if we install the personal gateway on our desktops.
