Provide a way of automatically pulling through, or a programmable way of adding, table/column meta data (descriptions and extended properties) from a SQL Server data source. I have already added meta data to my SQL server data source so it would be great if I could have these added without having to do it manually.

In general, the ability to import view/table/column comments from the data source (any database and, why not, also dataflows) would be very helpful.

I'm surprised that this doesn't have more votes. It would be extremely useful to import extended properties from an SQL database.

I'm in the same boat except using PostgreSQL over ODBC and would like the comments I've put in the column and table comment field to show up in power bi in the description field.
