We currently have products that basically integrate the reports and the app users just view the reports. It wont make much sense for all the app users to purchase pro license as all they do is view the reports when in the app.

RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
I have been learning and developing power bi since last 3 years and am a manufacturing guy, learned this technique all they way, including SQL,M, DAX...promoted Power BI a lot in the organization. Didn't know that just seeing report also need this much money.
It needs to be made cost effective.
Even further, when businesses are drowning in current situation, we cant justify this cost. Please make seeing the report free with current pro license fee. This will help smaller companies use Power bi as standard tool and MS will definitely get business once these companies gets the benefits out of these reports and decide to go more bold in using Power bi. Please don't kill the idea just in the beginning.
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
So Microsoft.. This is still not fixed?
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
This is ridiculous, needing a pro license to view report that is shared by a pro license, damn you Microsoft!
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
We still need a lite-license to get a realistic price for smaller companies, where maybe 5 users need full function/drilling etx, and another 35 users only needs a "diagram in sharepoint" without drilling etc.
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
I work at a company with about 300 employees. We have O365 and have built a lot of reports in Power BI. Since we have a lot of Sales people who only need access to the reports like once a week. We also have some people who only need to look at the reports once per month or even once per quarter. It feels absurd that we should pay $10 per month per user for this purpose.
Maybe there could be different levels of PRO? I mean one for developers ($50?) and another for people who only need to view the reports ($2?)?
Very disappointed with the current payment structure!
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
does anybody know if MSFT has any feedback in terms of TRUE "FREE" reader license? most of my users are just read only consumer, having to pay pro license doesn't make sense, definitely impact adoption considering premium is way too pricy
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
Same as other comments I see here : It's completely absurd that people who would like to just consult my reports would have to pay for it. non sense....
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
pretty much everything every other comment here is saying. This is absurd that I cannot share live visuals with Free licenses.
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
Please add the ability to share reports with free users within the organization, it is absurd to pay 10$ for just viewing the report.
RE: Ability to view shared reports/dashboards with free license
My managers just want to see the reports I have published, why not allow pro users to share a report via Teams and SharePoint with out using the embedded code.
