In the Power Query editor, it would be helpful to have an option to prevent a query from being edited. Due to the way Power Query sets its initial focus open opening it, there have been many times I've accidentally made changes to an intermediate query (that looks like the query I'm really wanting to change) but then I don't realize when/how/where the problem occurred until I go digging trying to troubleshoot unexpected behavior in a visual.
There have been times I've unintentionally made changes to a query's Applied Steps while reviewing details on a particular step. Usually, I'll realize the issue immediately but then by the time I hit OK, it's too late since I can't back out or undo the most recent change. Going to a backup of the .pbix isn't always an option or I may have made changes to other queries in that edit session which I would then lose if I essentially have to discard everything just to restore the one change I inadvertently made. Having the ability to lock or prevent changes to any of the Applied Steps of a particular query would be very helpful.
