ALL user activities in Power BI should be logged for auditing purposes, including datasets accessed, reports/dashboards accessed, and especially data exports performed. The audit data should be accessible as a dataset to build reports against as well as easily exportable / downloadable.

We released a US only preview for auditing Power BI. Read more about it here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-admin-auditing/

Hi, is there any timeline for deploying Asia Region tenant, we are getting many requests from users wanting to see the adoption of their dashboard.
RE: Better Auditing of User Activity (Datasets, Reports, Dashboards, Exports)
Do we have an update on this, I'd really like to be able to see how many times dashboards/reports are being accessed

Hope that much more is coming beyond features for admins. Every user needs to know exactly who viewed their Power BI content--like LinkedIn where users can know the names of people that viewed their profile.

Do we have a release date for rest of the world. Even if it is in preview, we would like to evaluate it for user adoption.

Hi Ajay,
We have a lot of customers requesting auditing capabilities for governance and usage purposes. Is this stil a US only capability and when will this be generally available?

RE: Better Auditing of User Activity (Datasets, Reports, Dashboards, Exports)
This feature is vital for our use case. We're in the process of migrating users to PowerBI from a legacy system and are unable to efficiently track who looks at what reports. The biggest issue here is that unlike our legacy system PowerBI does not provide a way to bring usage data back into a database for custom usage analysis.
RE: Better Auditing of User Activity (Datasets, Reports, Dashboards, Exports)
Report/dashboard owners also need report-level statistics.

Power BI team... This helps promote your product in our organizations. We need to know who ran which dashboard/report and when. With this we can show the value of Power BI and the usage it is getting. What you currently have is insufficient and as @venessa van gelder mentioned we have to beg cranky IT people for their help and to explain what is even available! This could even be a pre-designed dashboard you could share with us that would allow us to see usage by user, dashboard/report, and date. Thank you for your consideration!

This feature looks really good, is there any idea on when this will be available in Europe?
