A dashboard that is based on a pinned live page is not automatically updated when the dataset is updated.
Automatic update of Pinned Live Pages should be implemented as a feature.

For my Power BI dashboards to compete with Excels dashboarding ability via Code to move to new Worksheets on a timed basis.. I need this capability.. The plant operations dashboards we use need to provide LARGE READABLE Charting on 20 FT by 20 FT projected surfaces, readable from 100 to 200 FT away, of Production Goals at Actual versus projected, at a SHIFT Level and then move to another to show Area Specific Efficiency and then move to hourly by Shift, etc.. Again, these are Large projected dashboards in large plants that convey motivational targeted data to drive production. A desktop that must be manually maneuvered isn't feasible. I've resorted to macro key recorders that can run scheduled routines such as clicking on screen areas in the past.. but really?? Is this 1992? Automation like this should be an easy to do for development and does away with need for multi tabbed excel worksheets backed up by automation, or clunky powerpoint presentations with embedded spreadsheets.
