RE: field of "duration" type

Very needed as time duration's are essential in any planning type analysis.

RE: field of "duration" type

Honestly, this is a much needed feature. I shouldn't have to mess around in excel with all it's extra steps to convert time (which is recorded as a decimal in my company) into a duration. As it stands .5 (which for us is a half hour, or 30 minutes) equates to a half day or 12:00:00 hours.

Please give us some options here.

RE: field of "duration" type

I actually got Power BI in order to work on call lengths & waiting for call back times in a health setting. Can it be done please?

How is this not being looked at? You cannot use Power BI for any call centre stats unless you convert it to text or use ridiculous decimal points.

RE: field of "duration" type

I just started using Power BI to create a reporting dashboard for business operations data and like others here was shocked to find that there is no out of the box support for a duration data type. It seems obvious that this information would be a frequent requirement for the y-axis on a chart that refers to business intelligence data.

When will HH:MM:SS be available?

RE: field of "duration" type

We definitely need this feature added. Right now the only way we can convert number of minutes to a HH:MM:SS value casts to a TEXT datatype which then fails on a sort as it is not a true numerical value.

RE: field of "duration" type

What is the point of having the duration type in power query when the data view doesn't support it!!!!!!

We need duration for our graphs, so please make it available
