Mutiple matrix table linked by Row fields

Could the Matrix visual be extended to allow for linked rows attributes, what this means is on the visual format you could select USE LINKED ROWS, then select another matrix visual to determine what row data to show. It should also have the option to hide row information on this visual so you can then line up multiple visuals next to each other and have independent columns working. ie when you want to report on units and $ you may not want to have the same data showing so units could compare variance by tons , $ variances by order etc. Just think this would add some tremendous reporting flexibility with a lot more ease. Would need some constraints such as visual height the same and row data has the same fields and order.
