A way to update datasets (so reports we can add new calculated fields, etc.). If that was fixed, I think my team could begin adopting

RE: Updatable PBIX/XLSX datasets
When source file on e.g. on SharePoint moves to another location (folder) then when you chnage and publish the pbix file you get a new dataset.
Why cannot one edit the source location of a dataset directly ?
(current not using a Professional license)

This relates to the following other Ideas:

https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/11081736-avoid-redundancy-of-datasets-same-source-2-data
We need a way to publish a Dataset and then use this Dataset as a Data Source. This would then allow Desktop to build Reports, add Calcs, and Join other Data with a Dataset.
RE: Updatable PBIX/XLSX datasets
Yes it's a challenge for me. I have one report template that I need to pass to different areas of the business. I was hoping to import a PBIX file and then use the API to clear and push data.

Would love to see that feature released soon! Here's a post that describes my irritation with the current workflow, maybe it has some input on a good expected behavior: https://support.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi/suggestions/7093112-updatable-pbix-xlsx-datasets

This has been challenging for me as well.
